Please be advised that members are kindly requested to park their vehicles at designated parking lots and not indiscriminately (by roadsides, lobby, near the bag-drop area).

This will lead to inconvenience to others. Due to shortage of car parks especially during the weekends or when the club is hosting functions like weddings or conferences and seminars, members are requested to follow the instructions of the security personnel.

We seek your kind cooperation to address this problem.

High September noon for Loo

It was a show least expected but Loo Ah Hock (11) found the right form to chalk up 41 points to win the September A Medal. The points were more than enough for Loo to beat second placed Tan Hee Hong who managed to garner 38 points in the tournament that was played using the Stableford format.

In the B Medal, Noor Azman Nordin (17) mastered the fairways to secure 38 points that gave him the win over Said Jamil (16) on countback, while Ng Hoe Beng (21) took the C Medal title after picking up 39 points. In second place was Tan Eng Hun (22) with 38 points.

Angus Ang's fine effort at the 6th Hole of Sultans Nine ensured his victory in the Bull's Eye novelty.

Towards Excellence

Golf is not only connecting people who play the game. Thus a golf club is not just a place to play the game, but also a meeting point for business dealings, seminars and conferences, and also a place that can host multiple functions like wedding receptions, birthday parties, annual company dinners, a solace for recreation and enhancing family ties.

On the fairways with DPM at KGSAAS

It was an outing that our Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will savour. The Place: Kelab Golf Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah. The occasion: Premier Golf Challenge 2006 hosted by Nam Fatt Corporation Bhd. The objective: To foster a good working relationship between the government leader and civil servants via golf.

Surely the objectives were achieved as the 110-odd Datuk Seris, Tan Sris, Datuks started their day with breakfast - feasting on the carbo-charged wide selection of food to derive energy to play their round of golf. Many were cracking jokes and introducing themselves to new friends.

Among the field were Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Khir Toyo, former minister Tan Sri Sabaruddin Chik and a host of officials from the police and army and business sector.

Displaying the motto of Olympics that participation is more important than winning, the VIP golfers showed their friendliness, socializing with just about every one to make it a memorable golf tournament.

The DPM, playing alongside Tan Sri Onn Ismail, Tan Sri Sabaruddin Chik and Dato' Al-Amin, showed some fine skills in his short game and holed some long putts and often raised his hands to acknowledge his shots and putts. The DPM reckoned that he had no problems handling the KGSAAS layout.

Many balls were lost but many friendships won - and the players did not complain. All the golfers were victors, as they had established new friends and got to know their leaders well.

The DPM also complimented KGSAAS for their kind hospitality and smooth organization that enabled him to enjoy his round of golf.
